Hi...may as well post something, see if we get some discussion  I just got my latest hair analysis yesterday. Copper started trending up when I started working on copper detox 4 years ago, and has been very high ever since. I took a break from the nutritional balancing supplements a couple of months ago. But it is still high. See the attached trend. Really did not think I would still have this much copper, for so long. I understand from my previous NB practitioner that this is an extreme case.  |

Do you think you were born to a copper-toxic mother? And do you think that you must still have copper stored in some of your organs? Also, with this much copper still showing on hair tests, do you struggle with feeling "coppery" most of the time? I am also still dumping copper (have been doing NB for over 6 years) and struggle with the copper symptoms almost daily. I didn't know about coffee enemas at the beginning and do feel that they help me the most with the copper symptoms. My guess is that I would have progressed faster overall if I had begun CEs at the beginning rather than 2 years in. My colon and liver both have really needed them!

Yep. My mom was had adrenal fatigue issues as well. But the fathers can pass it on as well. My mom was the oldest of 16 siblings. Here dad (my grandfather) was the "wired" one. And he passed it on to all my uncles and aunts as well.
I also see it in all my cousins, nephews and nieces as well. Almost that entire side of my family is on anti anxiety medication, anti depressants, sleeping pills (none of which works very well).
For whatever reason, I did not get increases anxiety during copper detox like most people. Maybe because I already had a couple of years of steady meditation, relaxation breathing exercises and some energy work.
I did however, have periods of increased rashes. I also went through a few months of weakened teeth. I broke 4 teeth in 6 months (now they feel much better). No more bone pain either.
Yes, the coffee enemas are a real help with getting the liver going to help with detox.

Wow, 4 years! So you initially had a low copper on your HTMA, and then it started coming out with the endomet supps? Was it mainly zinc?

Actually, before doing htma, I just started taking zinc, ALA, avoiding copper foods. This was after reading Ann-Louise Giddlemans book. I went through some major detox symptoms, so I was pretty sure copper was coming out of storage. So I was probably 5 or 6 months just taking supplements with no htma. I then consulted with Ann-Louse for about 9 months. (3 htma's) She uses TEI. My copper was trending up with each one. Then I switched to ARL / Dr Wilson, from Sept 2012, until just about 2 months ago. I'm taking a bit of a break and trying to decide what to do next. I might just keep getting the hair analysis to see what happens, but stay off the supplements for now. |

Feo, did you start out with high Ca? It usually works as a buffer for the high Cu. If so, has it come down or is it still high? My Ca started out high, around 300, and stayed high for quite a while. A year ago my Cu dropped from 10 to 5, and the Ca came down from 200 to 100. The next Ca last fall was 55...very close to the ideal of 40. Now it's going back up...120 on the May test. My P says it's more biounavailable Ca coming out (Mg is also coming out). Makes sense to me. Another P that I've come to respect said after her Ca dropped below 100 and stayed low, she really began to experience significant changes. That is proving to be my experience. The last year plus has brought me the most changes. Hair tests-wise and how I feel. Much better steady energy, upbeat mood, etc. Not necessarily constant throughout the day but usually there most days upon waking.

Hi, Sure, I have maintained many of the gains. My teeth are stronger, my bones and nails are stronger. But the long detox has kept me in a wired state, and I slacked off a lot with some of the things that helped me in 2011 (meditation, Buteyko, self energy work) My experience with flushes has been the following: I probably did about 25-flushes. At first, I didn't get anything. No stones, no smell of bile. Then from about the 4th to 8th flush, I got some type of stones out, and the strong smell of bile, plus some severe burning. Then I stopped getting the stones. For the last couple of years, all I get is the smell of bile, and no stones. The recipe has not changed. Which doesn't make make sense if the stones were just balls of fat from the flush ingredients. Why did I stop getting the stones? I don't really know for sure. But it would seem that if it was just the ingredients It's funny, when I read that article, his writing style sounded a bit familiar. He was one of 3 people that I have gotten into arguments with on Curezone His user name was Hveragerthi. He actually had his own sub-forum on curezone. But he was eventually banned from Curezone. He tended to argue with a LOT of people. That would explain all his articles describing how curezone is such a bad site. |

Interesting. That's a good question - why the stones stopped appearing. I have not read as much on curezone as you. but Hveragerthi caught my attention when he wrote a post about people drinking caustic chemicals to alkalize the body. Someone responded and claimed to have experienced GI burns because of that chemical. Hveragerthi seemed knowledgeable, but I guess no one knows everything. We already know that from adrenal fatigue doctors, though!

Even the best adrenal fatigue fatigue doctors have some major chunks missing from their knowledge. Hveragerthi does have a lot of knowledge, but he suffers from a complete lack of humility. He was banned for a reason. He was always 100% sure in all his claims. And he would stomp on people very hard if they dared to question him. Can feel my blood pressure going up just thinking of that guy..... time to go meditate I actually used to doing the Lovingkindness meditation towards him back in ~2008 when I got to the part when I was supposed to do Lovingkindness towards an adversary |

Copper is a big time stimulant. It actually blocks GABA receptors. However, I also slacked off with things like meditation and breathing exercises, which was a mistake. |

Feo, I found your chart showing calcium, magnesium, Ca/Mg really interesting. Looking back at my tests, for the most part you could take magnesium and multiply it by 10 and get my calcium, i.e., magnesium was 21 and calcium was 215. Even when Ca finally dipped below 100 to 55, Mg was 5. Next test was 87 for Ca and 9 for Mg. But your magnesium stayed close to the ideal of 6 the whole time. I don't know if mine is typical. With your Mg staying so low, you ended up with very high Ca/Mg ratios which is blood sugar. Wondering how those made you feel? Symptoms of hypoglycemia or pre-diabetes? Also, if you did blood work during that time, did your blood glucose or H1ac reflect it?
My P continues to remind me that I need to eat fewer carbs since my blood sugar ratio is too high. The last few tests have been 10 or over. As you know, ARL sees 6.67 as ideal, and anything above 8 isn't great. I'm really trying to work on the carbs and mainly get them from vegetables and an occasional apple. My problem is that when I am dumping copper, veggies do NOT sound good but bread and blue corn chips do. Other people have also said that it's hard to stomach veggies when dumping copper so they also indulge more in bread, corn chips, etc. Did you crave certain things when dumping?
