Hi Feo
How does taking bile supplements compare to doing coffee enemas in helping detox or liver congestion?
Since both methods seem to increase bile in the body?
Thanks

Thanks Hi Adrenalhealing, Hope you're feeling well, I know you posted asking Feo but if I may also reply... I think taking bile supplements like GB3 with food help digestion and clear toxins etc. The coffee enemas directly simulate the liver/gallbladder to dump stored bile with toxins. So I think they both have their place.

Hey Leona
Thanks for replying and I hope you're doing well with your program?
I'm still in early stages of figuring out things. What is causing my insomnia, is it toxins? Etc
I've also done 4 coffee enemas so far so I finally got over my reservations about enemas!
I ask about bile because after my last enema I got insomnia so wanted something as alternative for detox.
When you say enemas dump stored bile, do you mean that there could be trapped bile in everyone's body that is not easily released on its own?

When you say enemas dump stored bile, do you mean that there could be trapped bile in everyone's body that is not easily released on its own? Hi Adrenalhealing! It’s said that everyone today has a liver that is sluggish so doing something like a coffee enema will stimulate the flow of bile from the liver. Bile gets recycled by the body but the CE moves the bile out of the body and bile carries out toxins. Many cancer therapies use CE’s so that sold me as a way to detox the body and it’s cheap. Here’s a nice short article from the Gerson therapy explaining the simulating action of coffee on the liver gerson.org/pdfs/How_Coffee_Enemas_Work.pdf and Dr Wilson, scan down to why the liver matters so much drlwilson.com/ARTICLES/LIVER.HTMThat’s great that you’ve started with the enemas, I bought a plastic bucket and some coffee in 2012 when I had my amalgams out, did a couple of them and put the bucket away. It wasn’t until I started NB in July of 2015 that I gave them another try later on and since have stuck with them. Honestly I found they got a lot easier with setting up and doing them after a few months. Just doing the routine and not worrying if I could hold the coffee or not. I also use a sauna light and find it more relaxing while doing the CE's. I did try them at night and each time I had insomnia, the sauna did the same thing, are you doing/or able to do them in the am? And tried less coffee? Insomnia is a terrible thing, I sleep pretty good now but have had times in my life when I really struggled with mind racing and was physically exhausted but still bug eyed, awake for hours. Look at everything, and see if you’re doing something that makes it better or worse, from food, to activities to supplements. Stress is a big factor too. Look at Dr Wilson’s page on insomnia maybe there could be an answer there drlwilson.com/Articles/Insomnia183.htmMy last hair test I fell back into a 4 lows..basically burned out. I do feel better though from when I started. I really would like to see some heavy metals show but I’m a very poor eliminator that’s why I feel anything to help the liver is really important. The body needs to have a certain level of energy BEFORE it’s able to detox things. Being in fight/flight is another reason that I don’t detox well. Lots to work on. I’m the poster child of sympathetic dominance...

Hey Leona
Thanks so much for your suggestions!
I did another two enemas this week and didn't get insomnia from either.
I did have problems holding one though and when I closed the clamp after all the coffee went in I started feeling pain in the colon. So I'll just rest from them for a few days
After how many times would you replace the bucket or nozzle?
And how long does it take for you to setup and cleanup? I usually spill some into the bathtub, and have to wash the toilet too after I expel the coffee.
Yes I hate insomnia and anxiety. I am in fast oxidation with inverted na k now with plenty of sympathetic symptoms. Until I shut it down I don't think I will detox well. And I think copper is fueling the sympathetic dominance. These initial months will be tricky as I need to avoid further stimulation from detox.
The sympathetic started from last year but wouldn't go away even after plenty of resting so my body is not adjusting on its own.
I think clearing my liver will prob br the key.
Sorry you fell into four lows and that its taking some time for you to detox. But the fact that you can tolerate the sauna and enema is really encouraging. And if your sympathetic excess is under control you should be able to eliminate more.

You can try less fluid in the beginning too, why not, having some success keeps you wanting it to work. I'd have some weeks where I was rushed or my timing was off and I couldn't hold the coffee at all. Got me thinking ..I don't know maybe this isn't worth it. But if this is a way to cleanse the liver of toxins it's definitely worth it! Making some back up coffee can help too. I'm actually using the same 5 dollar bucket I started with over a year ago. I do pull the hose off the bucket to wash, run both under hot soapy water and rinse. The tube I hang over a door hook and then tap out the excess water 5 minutes later. As long as the tube dries I haven't had any mildew growth. Did buy a cheap brush that fits the tube for cleaning, it's a long spring with a little brush and I can work it from both ends, www.ebay.com/itm/4PCS-Cleaning-Kit-Brushes-Hydration-Pack-Bladder-Hanger-Fits-Camelbak-Tube/282097279369?_trksid=p2045573.c100508.m3226&_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150817211856%26meid%3Dc8c36161cff9458882ca09406360ddbf%26pid%3D100508%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26 I got this after the coffee seemed to build up a coating on the tube, the tube is an amber tone now but looks clean. I don't use the brush often. Getting a routine down you get faster, I'd say I can do an enema in 25 minutes if needed. When short on time, make the coffee the night before. I put it in a mason jar in the refrig, in the morning warm the jar by placing it in a bowl or pot of hot tap water, it takes the chill off quickly. I don't have a tub so I roll out two old towels on the bathroom floor, my sauna light hangs off the door, I just plug it in. A couple of pillows for my head, and a folded towel or I use an old pillow tied in half under my hips, it lessens the strain on my back and gravity helps hold the fluid in. And a couple of folded paper towels. A common mistake when rushed is not closing the tube clamp as I fill the bucket. Now I can accept the fluid about 2-2 1/2 cups in less than 5 minutes, one shot. In the beginning I started and stopped the flow a lot. Listen to a podcast or music if you want distraction. And have a clock with you. Clean up...yes the toilet has never been so clean, it gets it's daily spritz and bowl brushed, maybe a minute there. It's a good idea to leave yourself time after in case you need an extra run to the bathroom. My BF has the inverted NA K ratio, his was less than one when we started, it's improved a little and he feels he's getting better. He too has insomnia. He doesn't do CE's, just diet, supplements and rest. For now I only use the sauna light without the tent, just don't have the time. Without the tent I don't sweat but the light and heat is relaxing. I too think getting out of sympathetic dominance toxins should start to move out. Just realizing what your problem is helps so much, all the things I did...drank coffee, exercised hard, no sleep on and on.

Hey Leona
Yes on some days my body wants to expel it quick but some other times its long enough so I just accept whatever comes.
I read that if I put the coffee in the fridge, its good to use for up to two days.
I should hang up the tube too for it to dry. I use hospital grade disinfectant to clean everything as I'm quite cautious about germs.
Yes I should really get that brush too.
Do you have to wash your towels everytime as there might be spills?
Did you have any issue with tolerating the sauna in the beginning? I feel that the enemas are more gentle than sauna
I think the more relaxed one is the easier fluid can go in
I listen to relaxing music whilst doing it. And must have a shower after as there are spills.
I think that once I dump all my toxins my insomnia should go away. But the anxiety that comes with dumping toxins can be draining for the adrenals so its really tricky. The healthier one starts the program the easier it is to tolerate detox.
How long has your BF been on the program?
I actually think sympathetic dominance could be actually caused by toxins, esp copper, and that by lowering copper anxiety should improve greatly.

Hi Adrenalhealing,
To me it seems the more in the sympathetic I am the harder it is to hold the coffee, if I’ve taken a little Tramadol (used for muscle pain) the night before it’s effortless to hold the coffee the next morning. I think these drugs shutdown the adrenaline pumping through your body.
I’ve gotten pretty good at holding the enema so spills aren’t too much of an issue. Clamping the tube BEFORE you remove it and I use a folded paper towel as I remove holding it upright—no drips. Then hold the tube up, open the clamp and drain the fluid below the clamp and close. Wrap the paper towel around the tip. You can try using an additional smaller towel in the area you get fluid on, might be easier to wash just that one. Definitely a shower to finish. Do you get any calming effect after?
I’m a very poor eliminator so I figure I’ve got LOTS of bad stuff stored in my body!
When I first got the sauna tent and 4 light fixture I did a few saunas, but at night they made me not sleep and using it in the morning I felt wiped out. I did start sweating more after several. At the time I had very low potassium (1) so I was very concerned about dropping my potassium even lower. (muscle weakness, heart palps) I switched to the CE’s and took the tent down (it took up space and my cats kept playing in it attacking the door) I’d like to set it back up. I agree I think the CE's are more gentle.
My BF and I did our first hair test in July 2015.
Can I ask why you think you have copper issues? I’m guessing it’s a big one for me too although it doesn’t specifically show on my hair test. (I was on the pill for 30 years)

Hey Leona
If holding it is more difficult if one is sympathetic then that helps explain it for me as I still have anxiety these days.
Thanks for the tips on minimising the spills. Yes i do get a calming effect after an enema, where I feel I am in a peaceful place and nothing can disturb me, and I feel like I don't want to do anything but just sit down and relax. I feel lighter too.
So since you've started the enemas have you noticed any benefits? Is your fat digestion or stool color better? I also think that the more energy your body has, the more your body will start eliminating things itself.
Yes I would feel stimulated at times with the sauna so holding it off until my toxins are lower. My potassium is the opposite where it is very high, prob due to stress.
Well I get detox symptoms from zinc such as more anxiety so I strongly suspect copper. If you are prone to emotional oversensitivity and anxiety that could also be a big clue.
Feo has an article where he says women are more prone to copper toxicity, as estrogen is strongly involved.

Hi Adrenalhealing, I can’t say that I’ve notice any instant or drastic changes BUT I do sense I’m calmer, less volatile, it’s subtle but positive. It makes me want to continue with the CE’s. Not only is it a physical change to be less in the sympathetic but a big mental one too. I would guess copper plays a role for me too, I’d say I’m less emotionally over sensitive than I used to be. I feel understanding what causes these feelings has helped me better deal with them too. My BF had a 17 on Potassium and an inversion ratio of .53 NA/K when he started. His last test still showed a ratio of less than one but improvement and lower potassium. His phosphorous also improved from 10 to 11. He strongly feels the digestive aids are making the difference in how he feels (much better) He takes GB3 and also (not on the program) www.amazon.com/Nutricology-Pancreas-Glandular-Capsules-720-Count/dp/B0014THHQG/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1489006310&sr=8-2&keywords=pancreas+enzymes read the reviews for more info. He’s had light colored stools off and on over the years and now the color is much better. As for me my stool color has always been good and I love fat! I did several decades of no fat, low fat etc. Even though I’m suppose to limit it (right now a mixed oxidizer) I do think improving digestion is key and do take 6-9 GB3s and some of the pancreas enzymes as well. My phosphorous is 14 so it can improve. You mentioned earlier that you thought sympathetic dominance is caused by toxins, it made me think and I looked at an early book by Francis Pottenger, he says that when someone is poisoned the body goes into sympathetic dominance. Maybe we’re a society of poisoned individuals...

Hey Leona
Yes, me also understanding that copper, and not reality, is causing my anxiety makes me distance myself more from the anxiety, which is really helpful.
Do you or your BF get stimulation from the pancreas glandulars at all? And is the glandulars the same as pancreatin?
If your stool colors are good then you will have plenty of bile to clear toxins, and your gallbladder prob has no stones.
Well most of us are prob poisoned, some more so than others. There has never been a time when we have become so chemically exposed so I wouldn't be surprised if that explains why so many have health issues.

Hi Adrenalhealing! No, either one of us get stimulation from the pancreas glandulars www.amazon.com/Nutricology-Pancreas-Pork-Vegicaps-60-Count/dp/B000IRLHQQ/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1489764519&sr=8-2&keywords=pork+enzymes it’s freeze dried pig pancreas. I think pancreatin can be plant or animal, it’s the name for digestive enzymes? Although I have to say, stopping the Thyroplex (glandular) after my last test made me realize how much it rattled me and made my feet, shoulders and hips super tense and tight, so I what you’re talking about. And I so much wanted to boost my thyroid and have it work but realize I’m not ready for it. Interestingly I listened to a Youtube on enzymes the other day and how we spend a huge amount of energy digesting food. It made me think that eating more meat and not enough vegetables could be keeping me more sympathetic. Certain foods simulate the sympathetic like meat. Keeping up with all the vegetables I find difficult. Do you get anxiety or stressed after eating? I find I do and also later in the day, probably from doing too much. I like to believe that my problem isn’t too bad and I can just do things as I’ve always done which isn’t helping me. I could improve on following the program in a lot of ways. Is there anything you’ve found helpful?

Hey Leona
Have you also tried any thymus or kidney glandulars and ever got stimulated? some of the arl supplements have these.
have you ever tried kelp? i heard it helps the thyroid, and could be gentler than the glandular?
well it i am not feeling well i feel heavy and lethargic after a meal. I would also get tingling. when digestion is weak these things happen.
i think as your adrenals or energy gets better, your digestion should follow in getting better. in the mean time you prob have to take digestive enzymes to help the body do the job. i am taking enzymes every meal and hoping as my adrenals improve my digestion also does.

Hi Adrenalhealing! I haven’t tried any other glandulars, I do take kelp but only 2 capsules (I think I’m listed for 6, more than that I get air hunger, adrenals get too stressed) I just don’t push it at this point. I don’t know if you’ve ever read about hyperventilation, I think we all do it with low adrenals. www.adrenaladvice.com/adrenal-fatigue-symptoms.shtml#breathing It could help explain your tingling. www.adrenaladvice.com/slow-breathing.shtml I’m going to reread this and watch the video. I think we pump a lot of adrenaline being sympathetic dominate anything to relax will help us. My BF says my breathing really speeds up BEFORE I wake up (guess he’s not sleeping well) we pump adrenaline to wake. I’m not very successful with the pause but even being aware of keeping my mouth shut helps with the breath as does talking less. Another reason I think socializing can be stressful, we suck a lot of air in talking. Hope you’re finding ways to stick to your program, I start to slack when I have a busy time with life.

Hey Leona I also read that glandulars can be stimulating so I'm avoiding any in meantime. Yes I have recently started getting breathlessness after doing copper detox. But I also started the breathing exercises so I hope that takes care of it. I find that you can do it even when doing something else like reading or watching TV After a few breaths I get better with the outbreath
