I've read Dr Lam say that things like enemas or flushes could trigger crashes in those with advanced adrenal fatigue.
Would this be the case and when would be the best stage to do these cleanses?

Hi. There are lots of people doing the nutritional balancing program that do coffee enemas. In fact many of them start nutritional balancing program after they tried working with Dr. Lam. The coffee enemas and liver flushes really help with the clearance issues that he struggles to resolve. The liver flushes can be a little more aggressive then the coffee enemas. A lot of people do the coffee enemas for six months or so before trying a liver flush

Thanks for that info.
He recommends glutathione. Would that help at all?

I took his Liposomal Glutathione for a couple of years. I helps a bit. But not nearly as much as the coffee enemas, and coffee enemas are way cheaper.

According to wikipedia, there are quite a few risks with coffee enemas.
What can I do to avoid those risks?
Effects and dangers[edit] Some proponents of alternative medicine have claimed that coffee enemas have an anti-cancer effect by "detoxifying" metabolic products of tumors.[2] There is no medical scientific evidence to support any anti-cancer effect of coffee enemas.[3][4][5] Coffee enemas can cause numerous side effects, including infections, sepsis (including campylobacter sepsis), severe electrolyte imbalance, colitis, proctocolitis, salmonella, brain abscess, and heart failure.[2][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] If the coffee is inserted too quickly or is too hot, it could cause internal burning[13] or rectal perforation.[14] The use of coffee enemas has led to several deaths as a result of severe electrolyte imbalance, hyponatremia, dehydration, pleural and pericardial effusions.[7][15] The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ruled that study participants must be warned of the risk of death from coffee enemas in studies that use them.[16][17]

Wikipedia is not a reliable source for alternative medicine. Check out what Wikipedia says about adrenal fatigue. I am not sure the reason. Possibly Wikipedia gets donations from drug companies. But it is useless for any alternative medicine information
You might want to check out some other websites on coffee enemas
I have been on a couple of Facebook groups doing coffee enemas. I did 4 per day for 2 1/2 years myself.

Do you still remember your very first CE, was there anything intense or any side effects?

No not really. Just follow the instructions that are various places on the Internet. To save time, I use a French press. And then throw in some ice cubes to cool it quickly.
It took about six weeks before I started to hear gallbladder squirts. But everyone is different

Do you still remember your very first CE, was there anything intense or any side effects? Hi Adrenalhealing, If I could comment too-- Starting CEs were uneventful for me and honestly I had never done an enema. If you’re on the fence to give it a try, buy plastic bucket kit (Amazon less than 10. I still use it) and a little organic coffee so if it’s not for you at this time there’s not a lot of downside. In the first month it was the little things that were more frustrating, figuring out that there was an air bubble in the line, or forgetting to close the tube. It’s best if you’re not rushed for time. You might want to read my post “Coffee Enema Articles” and the replies to the actual articles for more feedback on people using them. I had planned to try them several years earlier when I had my amalgams removed, a chelating forum recommended them. I bought the kit and never used it. So this time around with NB I decided to give it a try, been doing them since last fall.

Thanks Leona,
If the glutathione I am taking doesn't help I'll give CE a try.
I still don't know how bad my liver clearance is.
My bowel colors range from yellow to dark brown so its not light colored all the time.

My bowel colors range from yellow to dark brown so its not light colored all the time. If it's yellow once it a while, that likely indicated clearance issues. I really think it is possible to have adrenal fatigue without liver issues. Are you sensitive to chemicals, purfumes, etc. Ever have a metallic taste in your mouth? Do you bruise easy?

Hi adrenalhealing, If the glutathione doesn't help enough (I've heard taking it orally it gets digested?) you might try Endomet GB-3, here's a Wilson article drlwilson.com/articles/gb3.htmIt's part of the program I'm on and at first I was a bit taken back by the higher cost. But I think it could have some real benefits for the liver and helping to digest better. If digestion is poor then it doesn't matter how many supplements you take, nothing gets absorbed.

Thanks for recommending that. I actually tried that one bottle of gb3 2 years ago for digestion. Didn't notice much effects in any areas though. Might try artichoke and dandelion for bile release. I have sent my hair sample in so just waiting to be contacted about the results. Hopefully they won't prescribe me any glandulars as they do give me a stimulating effect.
