Hi All,
I have been on an adrenal recovery program since July as I crashed in June with heart palpitations in the middle of sleep and developed anxiety afterwards.
I have been on 1000mg of vitamin C daily since July.
I have noticed more emotions, good or bad, on some days after doing the vitamin C therapy. And would have anxiety or respond to stress with anxiety more on those days. In recent days I have also noticed improved energy, so I am thinking I should be having less anxiety as I am snapping out of the adrenal depletion stage.
As my anxiety started before taking vitamin C it is very hard for me to figure out if it is caused by the vitamin C or just my panic state induced by crashing.
Does vitamin C cause or worsen anxiety?
And if so, it is only due to liver clearance issues, or other causes?

I used to have trouble with Vitamin C and anxiety, but I don't anymore. I can take as many Liposomal C vitamin C as I want and have no negative side effects. After a couple of years of coffee enemas and liver flushes, I think my liver clearance is better

Thanks for your reply
But do you think it could also do with Vitamin C being a cofactor for the synthesis of noradrenaline, that any vitamin C intake would lead to the body using it to produce noradrenaline?
I suspect this as recent days I have noticed improved energy but also more prone to anxiety.

If one has liver clearance issues, could any energy increases from vitamin C be actually a stimulant effect?

If one has liver clearance issues, could any energy increases from vitamin C be actually a stimulant effect? I think both things are possible. Vitamin C is adrenal fuel.... but if you are stuck in a state of stress, the fuel may be directed to stress hormones. And...Vitamin C can mobilize more toxins, which will create more stress, and probably worse if your liver can get rid of them fast enough
