I have read that many people whilst on vitamin C for their adrenal fatigue eventually developed intolerance to the vitamin C.
Would this only be due to high dose vitamin C and how high would it need to be?
I read on the website that having good liver clearance would help resolve the problem. What supplements or methods has anyone successfully used to improve their liver clearance?

Hi... For me, it was coffee enemas and liver flushes. I can now take large doses of Vitamin C no problem

I have been taking silymarin /milk thistle for year. I have alot of health problems and have tons of blood work done twice a year. All of my many docs are always surprised how good my liver workups are because I take a ton of medication. I always tell them silymarin/ milk thistle. It does work wonders. I take1000mg a day and now that I have added large amounts of vitamin c I have doubled the dose for now. My adrenal fatigue was almost to the point of having to go to the hospital, I did not know why I was sick as a dog and was basically bedridden for almost a year (23 surgeries in 15 yrs, most of them major like both hips replaced and one shoulder, my spleen removed at the same time as they removed 2/3 of my Pancreas. I only have the head of my Pancreas remaining. I also had breast cancer 2x radiation. and my thyroid removed and total hysterectomy. I have what I call 1.5 diabetes, Rheumatoid arthritis, peripheral neuropathy and other small things so you can imagine how many meds iI take 4x a day( anda failed gastric bypass that is what ruined my Pancreas). Now iI was put on steroid shots in both shoulders every other month and that was the last straw for my system. Granted i felt like crap for a long time but not being able to get out of bed was the last straw . Anyway sorry so long but I wanted to let you know that I wasnt kidding when I said I take alot of meds for a long time. I have been taking silymarin/ milk thistle it is basically the same fora long time too and my liver functions are good.

Coffee enemas twice a day. Those have been the most help to me for liver clearance. I only did them daily at the beginning, but now that I am detoxing more, I need that second one.

Thanks for all your replies.
Did anyone else try herbs like milk thistle or supplements and it worked?
Or would more physical methods like liver flushes and enemas be more effective?
And how much vitamin C per day would be high enough to be causing these vitamin c intolerance symptoms?
I am currently on 1000mg of vitamin c per day for around 8 weeks, and recently started glutathione in case my liver had issues. Have been feeling a bit better lately in terms of more emotions, but midday blood sugar crashes are still a problem.

I have tried milk thistle but never felt it did anything. Coffee enemas have been the most effective for me by far.

I read that liposomal vitamin C could be even worse for those with clearance issues.
Why would that be the case?
I thought if more of it gets absorbed in the cells, then less would be needed to be processed by the liver?

Lipo C is way more powerful. There is no bowel tolerance with Lipo C. It is like getting an IV of Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is a great chelator. So it is possible that large amounts of Vitamin C will chelate lots of toxins.... which your liver must handle
